Frequently Asked Questions
1. If we don't know any of the Oldies artists, do we have to use the category?
No. If a category of music is not well known by the players, it can be eliminated and designated as one of the other three categories, or as a "U Choose".
2. Do I get to choose a category of music at the beginning of each turn?
No. The players must use the category on which their marker has landed. Players get to choose a category whenever they land on "U Choose", Steal the Show, Take the Stage or Take a Bow.
3. When I draw a card that says "Sing It", do I have to use one of the artists on the card?
No. Any artist or group (within the category) can be used, even your favorite local band. Some artists cross over into two or more categories. For example: The Rolling Stones could be considered Oldies, Pop and Rock & Roll. When this occurs, the artist can be used in any category that applies!
4. If our team lands on ATM or Stage Fright as a result of using the Clue Method, do we draw a card now and follow the instructions or do we wait until the beginning of our next turn?
The team must wait until the beginning of their next turn before drawing a card. They then follow the instructions for ATM or Stage Fright. Whenever a correct answer is given using the Clue Method, the teams turn ends after rolling the die and moving their marker. The only exception to this rule is when a team lands on Encore - Rock & Roll Again. When this occurs the team should roll the die and move their marker before completing their turn.
5. When the ATM or Stage Fright instruct you to move backward and draw another card, is the new card used for instruction or to Sing?
The new card is used for Singing/Clues. (i.e. If the team moves backward to the Pop Square, they should perform songs or give clues about the Pop artist listed on the new card.)
